Zauq means taste, but also the feeling of appreciating something deeply. -e- means “of”. Ri means mountain in Balti and Tibetan.

The mountains are more than a backdrop. They are in the way food is grown, dried, shared and saved for winter; in the recipes passed between kitchens; and in the communities that make a place feel like home.
